We enforce the highest ethical standards at all times and also ensure that the safety and provision of duty of care is extended to all those we are serving.
We bring together a committed and dedicated team that has a wealth of experience accumulated as a result of intervening in a number of organizations in various environmental, research and sustainable development thematic areas. Our human resource is developed, and we outsource professional and experienced Consultants to produce an exceptionally high standard of services and project implementation.
OUR CAUSES
Forest Conservation & Reforestation
Uganda faces a severe deforestation crisis, driven by agricultural expansion, charcoal production, and unsustainable land use. Forests, which are essential to climate regulation, water cycles, biodiversity, and rural livelihoods, continue to disappear at an alarming rate. As an NGO committed to environmental restoration and community empowerment, we propose a targeted, multi-faceted approach to forest conservation that balances ecological preservation with socio-economic development.
Water Conservation & Clean Water Access
WASTE PREVENTION & RECYCLING
Uganda is facing a growing waste crisis, driven by rapid urbanization, limited infrastructure, and the widespread use of non-biodegradable materials. Improper waste disposal continues to impact the environment, contaminate water sources, and create serious public health risks. In response, our NGO is committed to tackling this challenge through a holistic, community-based waste prevention strategy.
The science is clear. We must radically scale up our protection efforts around the world. It’s now or never. Our best hope for a healthy and resilient planet is to protect at least 30% of lands, fresh water and ocean by 2030.

Your Support Matters
ESSEI depends on donations, above and beyond what we raise from volunteers who participate in our expeditions to deliver our global conservation mission. In fact, volunteer contributions provide only half of the total resources ESSEI needs to sustain over 10 field research expeditions, a wide variety of ennvironmental conservation programs, educational programs, corporate sustainability trainings, and more each year.
